Unlikely, I can’t imagine a stock new Defender being able to tackle the Rubicon...

bit of a shame that LR are going to lose all credibility when it’s launched.

You really think LR will gamble away their credibility? Really dude? Let’s see what it’ll do. BEST4X4XFAR is a bold statement that they will have to back up. If they don’t, then they deserve the backlash that they wil obviously get BUT..So far we know nothing...And you know what they say about ASSuming. Thumbs Up

I'm sure LR marketing will be all over shots of the rubicon like that and we will see comparable response in their campaign.

If the new defender inherits suspension from the Disco/RR I'm sure pending approach angles are OK the Defenders air suspension will manage that articulation no problem. Heck my stock D4 doesn't look too far off that when I park at the pub and that's not even in super extended mode Laughing ...

I remember someone quote the defender as a classless car, From Queens country estate to a Builders council estate. £40K is too much £30K more reasonable, don't need all singing all dancing, we can bolt it on later.

They're in accountants and Shareholders grip, But then again all modern cars are, with exception of Dacia... but then again who wants a dacia? they're the LG of the car world.

When i spoke with the LR salesmen a few months ago, they were in serious talks about ditching the discovery as the mark up on production wasn't as good as an RR, and was making the production too broad. they Only kept it to keep the Land rover brand alive, but it seems LR is now subordinate to RR.

LR now promotes themselves as "premium 4x4s and Luxury SUVs"

How bad is it when JLR has 4 RRs and 2 LRs.

Freelander? the cheap and cheerfull small SUV? Ah thats the ranger rover Evoque now.

Defender is non existant, and the disco is now being marketed as a commercial but at nearly £15k more than the competing land cruiser they've doomed themselves. I've never even seen one. What company in their right mind will blow £50K on a work utility vehicle? Mind you i know a company that was blowing £6K a month on Amaroks.

The King is dead. Long live the king.

All we are are people with loyalty to a company that shows none in return. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/
