Rear Speaker Cables
Hi Everyone,

I have a 2002/3 110 TD5 CSW. It only has the 4" speakers in the air con bar and none in the rear.

Does anyone know if the standard loom has the cables for rear speakers so I can just tap into them? Or do I have to feed cables right back from the head unit?

Many thanks in advance.

Simon

I would expect the wires to be there.
Just take a look behind the wire covers in the rear first.

Any idea what I should be looking for? There's no empty connectors or anything behind the panel.

Thanks,

Might be easier to pull the radio out and see if they're connected at the plug, if they are in there they should be the following colours: -

black/yellow - black/orange = left rear speaker
black/green - black/blue. = right rear speaker

This is taken from the MY2002 wiring diagram, it shows that group of wires as "REAR SPEAKERS FOR SOUTH AFRICA ONLY" but my 90 has them from the factory so I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

All my Def’s have had the wires and connectors. They are just two wires with small female blade connectors on the end.

Cheers for the replies.

I'll have a closer look later this afternoon.

Wish me luck!
