235 or 265?
Need some new tyres, BFG on he cards but to go 235 or 265. Other than width, what will the impact be on handling, fuel economy and turning circle? I don’t have wheel spacers.

235 will give slightly better turning circle and I guess marginally better mpg. I went with 265, purely looks really, maybe better high speed cornering? James

265's will have an impact on turning circle - you may have to adjust the lock stops to prevent rubbing. I doubt you'll be able to tell the difference in terms of handling and fuel economy, though. Darren

Thanks all. Would 265’s be 265 75 16?

265x75R16 or 235x85R16 have pretty much same standard rolling circumference. James

Surprisingly my mpg improved slightly when I went from 6 year OE continental 235/85r16 to brand new BFG 265/75r16.

I had to adjust my steering lock stops which I had previously adjusted to give me the best turning circle on the 235’s, but I suspect if I hadn't adjusted it before, it would probably have been fine with the 265’s. Now gone - 2012 2.2 110 DC XS

Put 265s on mine when it was about 6 months old. Didn't adjust the stops and has been fine. Bfg a/t spring/summer, Bfg mud autumn/winter. Thumbs Up

You can go 255/85/R16 with out spacers and just a little steering lock stop adjustment if you wanted to.

Depends if that tyre size is available at the moment, I'm guessing maybe not or not yet? Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

255/85 is only available as KM2, whereas 235/85 and 265/75 are available as KO2, KM2, and possibly KM3.

Not sure about the KO2 ATR in 255/85 but I heard the KM3 will be shortly in that size but likely not just yet. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Hi All, just picking up on this thread. I have heard that 265's are too big for standard alloys on ddci 2007, is there any truth in that? just making my decision and wanted to double check as I had not heard this previously Sweatysock

BFGoodrich quote 7”-8.5” for rim size with 8” the recommended. I believed the boost alloys are 7?
