Checker Plate
Ok here we go sure it will be the first of many Q's. On the checker plate there is the odd bit of surface rust mainly in the corners, whats best to use to clean it up, cheers, Steve.

Surface rust can often be polished off. Try BriLiant metal polishes. Amazing stuff. They do a metal restoration polish that genuinely works (no, don't work for them!)

Failing that speak to the guys at Bilt Hamber. They have rust treatment products that in my opinion are the best on the market.

BriLiant polish and a rag should do it though!

Hi Matt, was the bonnet catching just one of the chequer plates at the back or both? If just one is the bonnet sitting dead centre?

We have Safari Equip ones fitted to our Puma. You are more then welcome to come and look at the quality of the wing tops as fitted either at Billing (stand A3) or at Peterborough. Sometimes seeing things in the 'flesh' is best

Pricey but I'd second the genuine parts ones - I had them on the first Puma and they are due to be fitted to the new one in the next couple of weeks. John

I have black chequer plate all round. The fixings have corroded and are spoiling the look and finish.

Any suggestions on where I can get a complete set of new fittings, ideally something that won't corrode but need to be black.

Anyone else swapped out the standard issue fixings that come with the LR chequer plate kits?? Proud owner 110 Utility XS
