And he'd be right, there's no doubt about it. The tolerance he shows to the new pup, though, is remarkable. The older dog has no tolerance whatsoever for anything other than humans or friendly dogs. We live in a very rural area and he has put many, many rabbit pies etc on the table, so to see him behave the way he does to this small ball of fur is nothing other than amazing. Just shows how smart animals really are.....

Here’s our newly expanded pack. Basil on the left has been with us nearly 6 years and is the softest thing on four paws. Charlie on the right is a 3 year old rescue who came to us last Friday. We don’t know a lot about him, but he has been starved and is very wary of strangers. He craves affection once he knows you though.

Thanks Ken. Just hope we up to the task! Need to get him over his fear of strangers as at the minute I need to keep him away from kids and crowds. I worry if someone spontaneously tries to stroke him, as happens a lot with Bassets 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
