I've checked everything there is to check. There aren't any fault codes stored on the ECU. Strangely enough when you check the fault codes you don't need to remove the green ABS warning light relay to see the codes. However, changing the relay hasn't made a difference Big Cry 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thanks for the offer Clayton. I'm fairly certain it isn't an electrical fault - more of a component fault (relay or ECU fault.)

Going to try bridging relays tomorrow to make sure there are no feed backs to the ECU through the relays. I don't think the ECU is exiting diagnostic mode Confused 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

MOT booked Mr. Green

Found the problem with the ABS system. As I suspected it wasn't exiting diagnostic mode. All 4 wheel sensors had moved away from the exciter rings.

As non of the sensors were triggering then there was no fault code - even if one sensor had been close enough then I would have seen fault codes for air gap for the other three.

Anyway, all 4 sensors lightly tapped home with a small hammer and drift and the light went off as soon as I reached 4mph. RESULT Thumbs Up Mr. Green 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Perhaps I would have mentioned that until the ABS ECU received a signal from all 4 sensors it remains in diagnostic mode. Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

What did procta say Whistle great news mind! Plus it was an easy fix too! I knew it would have been something daft, if you have tested the system with another ECU Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

So what’s the plan with it?

Is it a keeper, or use it for a while sell it and find another project? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Definitely a keeper. Lots of family memories in it. Mum and Dad have said I can have it as they don't use it but don't want to see it go!

I was 6 or so when mum and dad bought it and probably about 16 when they stopped using it so most of our family caravanning holiday memories involve the RR in some way or another.

I have permission to do some light modifications such as exhaust etc. But it will be staying relatively standard for the time being Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
