It's a John Eales 4.6, built as a race engine for a TVR but the previous owner decided that a TVR should really have a 4.5. Took some work on the plumbing to get it to fit. Mr Eales reckoned that it was totally inappropriate for a Land Rover.

That is one awesome sound track and with a manual gearbox Bow down I think Mr Eales was wrong to think it was not right for a land rover Laughing 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Well, it's quite fun on the road, but off road the power is all in the wrong place. And I've found that I can't steer so well with the front wheels in the air. He didn't think the gearbox would survive either, but I'm trying to be gentle with it.

So the poor 110 V8 has been stuck in the garage far too long this year.

So I have decided to sell up Sad and let someone else has some fun Thumbs Up

I will be putting the advert up in the For Sale Section later today, but I certainly enjoyed getting the V8 fired up again!

Thanks. After all finally getting SWMBO agreement to keep the 110 and I have had to face up to reality. I just don't have any spare time to play with my Landy anymore and leaving it in the garage is just torment!
