Given how original your SIII looks to be, it'd be a real shame to hack it about to fit a V8 Darren

Heh, heh, I know what you mean. I've had a couple of V8's myself. Originality is king though, when it comes to values of what are essentially classic cars. Darren

That it is, at least for resale value. See many series v8 conversions around anyway so it's pretty popular. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Neither of them are mine but they sound nice.
All I wish is that I could find a way of stopping the leak on mine, it has been leaking from the "Y" pipe/centre box joint for 7 years despite 3 different exhaust systems and countless methods of fastening them together it still fecking leaks |

I had the chance to go around the Top Gear track a couple of years ago in that JE Engineering Zulu 90, and with a supercharged V8, I can confirm that it went very very well! BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

I wouldn't fancy going any distance in it. I frequently do an 800 mile trip in mine, over about 30 hours 5 of which are spent on a ferry, and the thought of putting up with that much exhaust noise for the distance is not one that appeals

If I was going to install a mad diesel engine it would be a Napier Deltic.
I am old enough to remember these in service and the noise is wall to wall. 3,300HP 2 stroke diesel |

A bit of thread drift but I too remember the Deltic in service and was a fantastic noise when passing at full chat

Jodes, are you sure you don't have a Jag F-Type sitting just out of shot revving its engine? Sounds fab... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
