As adverse as I am to using steel or stainless grub screws into aluminium it might be suitable for this application. Thinking back to certain mountain bike pedals they have a similar arrangement with a grease port normally sealed with a grub screw (into an aluminium or magnesium alloy housing) with grease being administered by syringe.
The clearances on the pin in this case may prohibit the use of a high viscosity grease however a lighter machine oil could be administered in the same way? Cheers, Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

There is always the option of using a chainsaw grease gun to lubricate if the hole is large enough (2-3mm)

Thanks! I guess the photos aren't the best but they give an idea. I was in Salcombe a few weeks ago and saw a 15 plate 90 with dreadful blistering on the bonnet blocks - they were really poor. Hopefully these will solve that problem!
