Sealing Tape - egress areas
Hi Forum,

looking for some recommendations for sealing tape or fibre for the standard Defender egress areas.

Body sealing (footwells for example) the water egress reference talks about tape and sealing (flexi joint)

I assume any good brand carboy sealer will work but also looking at automotive flashing materials for example

Any car body sealer will do the job -whatever you have available over there. The best type is the non setting stuff, which forms a surface skin but remains flexible. For added strength I have covered re made joints with Duck tape, which is a self adhesive fabric/plastic tape. You may be able to get it where you are - try googling "Duck tape".

ahh ok it used to recomend DumDum but it's long longer available.

I got some of this butyl stuff.
