My defender has just been sick in the office car park
Oh dear, a 2 foot yellowy liquid puddle has evolved on the floor under the engine.
Checked the expansion tank which needed water but by no means empty.
If something had parted surely it would empty the entire contents of the cooling system on the floor ?
weird ?

Where exactly is it? Mine had a vomit at work at the start of the year, it was the flexible brake pipe connector that had leaked due to rust, the one going from chassis to axle.. this happened 2 weeks after an MOT and full inspection ...

Lucky I spotted it Neutral

Are you sure it wasn't there when you parked and you didn't notice?

Happened to me some years ago with a Range Rover Classic that had been stood for 12 hours, a great puddle of reddish liquid had appeared under the engine . Had a quick look round but didn't dare move it so walking home at 03.00 am after wasting an hour in the pouring rain. Next day called out a recovery to take it to the dealers who spent 4 days searching and swapping parts out just in case ( Oh yes and running up a bill) they couldn't find anything, it was a good job I have a warranty from them. A week later the security team came back to working with my shift and one of them tells me in passing how he dropped a raspberry frozen lolly on the floor of the car park the last shift he worked with me and had kicked it under a car so nobody would step in the remains. Oh how we laughed .
I laughed last when I sent him the bill for Taxi's and a mocked up bill from the dealers in total £2500.00. Rolling with laughter Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

a friend of mine had his engine out twice trying to sort a rear crank seal leak; he thought he had sorted it until the next morning when there was a large pool of oil under his bell housing... what he didn't know is one of us poured it there on the way back from the pub... how we laughed when he thought the engine had to come out again. Rolling with laughter

Looking at your avatar it looks like your vehicle has aircon. The gas contains a yellow/green liquid that is there to highlight leaks and show up in the event of a crash. Check that your aircon is working too Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I'm impressed you can tell it has aircon from my avatar !! Is green stuff leaking out in the photo too ? Laughing
The aircon compressor was removed for some reason by the previous owner so it has an 'pipes open to atmosphere' system Shocked
