Had a day out doing some green lanes up in Weardale and into Cumbria, it was bloody cold with intermittent snow showers and it was starting to lie on the higher ground.
This is the top of Grasshill Causeway, the highest green lane in England, you may be able to see the snow over on the fell in the background  Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge This shows it a bit better, that's Great Dun Fell to the left with the 'golf ball' on the top  Cheers Ian

Dropped her off at the stealers for 24k/2nd service and given a petrol RR evoque to play with.

Spent some of yesterday and this morning fitting Exmoor Trim high back seats to the middle row of my 110. The old fixings were a proper pig to get out. Done now though and I'm very pleased with them.

With winter coming, I upgraded from the genuine land rover candle lights to some proper headlights that actually illuminate the road ahead!
They cost £30 on ebay and included H4 bulbs. Straight swap for the sealed units and a remarkable improvement. A much whiter light and a more even spread. Very good purchase!

Drove it to the station as my Golf had a flat. I shall now mostly be worrying about whether it is there when I return.

Spent the weekend servicing (filters and oils done), fixing (hut nut tightened), replacing (new rocker gasket), fitting (new set of badges) and swearing at every ba***rd bolt that wasn't coming out!

Kitted up for a ride and it rained. The Californian doesn't ride in the rain (not sure he even knows what it is) so went out for a drive under the shadow of the pyrenees instead in the gale proof vehicle.

And collected it this afternoon  New timing chest oil seal, plus cambelt and crank pulley, new ignition switch and strange cut hole in the bulkhead welded up. So now, it no longer leaks, starts when I turn the key and doesn't need duct tape to stop me sharing the air with the engine. Happy days Darren

Added to that, the ignition switch is playing up so getting it to stay running was a real pig

The beast is back after some surgery which entailed having the head skimmed and we went out on the trail to celebrate his return
