Cruise Help
Nakatanenga/TerraFirma cruise control install in a 2.2 Puma. TFCCK07 or Naka E-CruiseII.
Is the diagram correct?

Where does the Red and silver wire with inline fuse go, or is it spare? I assume the red shown with fuse is NOT the red/silver with inline fuse that is on the harness already?

I have German instructions. The online TF one:

It's only been two hours since your question.

Have you tried the supplier - you paid money to them so they should presumably support it, rather than "us" on the forum for free?

How does the loom you have compare to the diagram?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

You guys are usually on the job on these types of tech issues. That's why I asked twice.

Peter at Nakatanenga speaks english, but when we delve into techy stuff it gets difficult.

My loom has lots of extra wires! Directions are to cut and cap the unused. 2013 110 - Keswick Green

The instructions do mention possible spare connections (not required for this application) which should be cut off and insulated once all relevant wiring has been hooked up (and tested).

It is so long ago that I fitted mine, so do not remember the procedure, but....

the required connections are power/earth, control stalk, clutch pedal switch, brake pedal switch and throttle pedal switch. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,

Diagram above shows power in on blue and red from ignition feed to brake switch
Oddly, no ground connection the cruise module?!

Purple is speed signal from black/red on instrument pack
White/brown is brake switch signal is green/purple on vehicle loom.

No clutch signal shown.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

There is another page showing other connections.

For a 2.2: yellow wire from cruise module to black/white on vehicle wiring at clutch switch. White wire from the cruise module goes to ground

This is different for a 2.4: yellow wire from cruise goes is joined to the red power wire, then the white wire from the cruise module is connected to the car's black/white wire at the clutch switch.

The installation instructions are really poor as the white wires are not shown clearly at all.

Still no clarity on whether a separate ground connection is required.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Hi,

please send an email request to harry@nakatanega.de and at least Harry and I do speak enough technical english to deal with any technical any requests.

The golden rule of the cruise control wiring is: if it is not shown in the instructions, it is not necessary.

Please do not mix TF and our CC, they are NOT identical!

Herr Peter,

Will post here and email Harry.

It is MY end of the conversation that gets messed up! Not you guys at all.

No disrespect to you or Naka!

I have the E-Cruise II, rev 5.2. 2.2 Puma.

I am confused because page 3/14 shows a blue wire connected to red wire with a fuse going to the Green/Orange on the brake pedal.

The only red wire with a fuse holder is red and silver.

Do I use red and silver wire with fuseholder, or red wire and obtain a fuse?

Thanks! 2013 110 - Keswick Green

I fiddled around today, got some pics of looms and connections sent to vendor.

AND now I have check engine/brake/ABS lights. In limp mode. No, I do not have a diagnostic tool.

Today, I hate this freaking truck.

Hopefully I get some good guidance, and the fault clears.

Either that or I remove all of it. 2013 110 - Keswick Green
