The best and most enjoyable was the Lancia Delta Integrale 16V.
In my long-ago youth (19 years old) I was a workshop driver for a Lancia dealership which offered RHD converted versions, which were performed at a reasonably local specialist. It was my pleasure to ferry them back and forth. The best car I have owned in sheer all round ability and usability was an Audi A4 Quattro Avant, with a 3.0 litre V6 TDI. Proper fast, even without a re-map. Overtaking was effortless, comfort was exceptional and it still returned 40 to the gallon. Wish i'd never traded it. |

I loved my z3m coupe, but needed a 6th gear.
Had a v6 clio which was really quick. Mrs Greeni's RS4 b7 was sublime But the best for driving that I owned was a 996 c4s. Might get a Caterham next....I had a Westfield as a daily driver when it was 21!!! Sold it for my first Land Rover. ![]() Click image to enlarge The most fun I have had, was my first Land Rover an 88" 'buggy' ARC spec V8 coiler, I had it for about 3 years and was my daily... No heaters, no full roof, I loved this thing. Here's a photo of a photo of me in my early 20's!! ![]() Click image to enlarge Last edited by GREENI on 28th Aug 2016 7:46am. Edited 1 time in total |

Must support the BMW 1 series view my 118d msport (143 BHP) still makes me smile every day and I've had it 8 years, the cornering handling and braking are all great and even though its a 118 model it goes well DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Driven (not owned) a fair number of sports cars (up to and including the Porsche 911 level, never 'supercar'). Pound for pound, an original Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9, back when I first learned to drive in 1990 has to be up there.
Similarly, Mrs Grenadier's Cooper was in Workshops, and i was leant a JCW Cooper. In the Alps, 24hrs on the twisties, little could match it for outright fun. My first performance car, Toyota Celica Carlos Sainz was a blast in early 20s and being based in Yorkshire, loads of fun on the country lanes, and given I was still serving, quite a bit of time spent off roading ![]() I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Best cars ever driven must have been the Defender 130 which, sadly, I don't have any more and the Caterham which I still have. They aren't the most comfortable, they have no luxury, but boy do they turn a smile on my face every time I drive them! As a petrolhead, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Who knows I can have a Defender 90 or series in the near future.... But first, have to reskin the old lady as she's beginning to show its age. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

I think the most fun I had was in my Lancia Fulvia, only 1.3, however, great to the red line in all gears including top. I think the most honest to goodness car for all round satisfaction was my BMW 535d and the biggest smiles from a Series 3 Landrover. Most miserable piece of rubbish, a Friday afternoon 2013 Defender 110, now dumped.

Best... depends on how you define best!
LDV Convoy for not leaving me stranded in the middle of a desert is one way of looking at it, or the conventional way would be a Tesla Model S. |
