Not quite a Defender but a great spot all the same
Stopped at the Cad West car park on the A487 yesterday, some numpty had 'parked' his Qashqai on the side of the road without realising there was only half a metre of grass before a 45 degree slope into the bushes below. His back wheel was floundering in mid air!

Look what they sent out to rescue him!

That is Mr Bradbury himself, lovely old boy I've not seen him for years!
Thanks for posting its great to see him still out working & the series land rover earns its keep regularly around Barmouth

He was a nice chap, had a very quick chat with him as I took the photo. Lovely to see a Series still earning it's keep.

Would like to know what's underneath, I'm assuming it's a bit of a hybrid due to the Q plates.

It's possible that it was run on trade plates before that became illegal and gained the "Q" plate when it had to be registered in its own right.

The trade plates on recovery vehicles was allowed to avoid road tax & MOT but they still needed to be registered,
Still MOT exempt to this day but they have their own taxation class now

I'll put a call in to Bradburys & find out more it
