Find out if the part is OEM. That will give you an idea of how good the quality is. IIRC, Bearmach tend to put an 'R' at the end of the part number if it is a replacement (i.e. not OEM) or a 'G' at the end if it is OEM quality.
Normally, the Bearmach stuff is pretty good. Andrew at Defenderbits tends to carefully check quality from Allmakes and Bearmach, so it may be worth calling him. Credit to him, he only sells stuff that works. |

Or strip, fit new seals and stainless steel pistons (about £100 ish for a complete set) and reassemble

Amongst other things, he had different calipers on each side I think. |

Correct, plus some 'home brewed' suspension mods with suspect welding IIRC. John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

LAst Thursday I ordered a set of SS replacements from Zeus Engineering for my 2007 110 and they were just over £60 for the set of 12, which I thought was very good value. I'm going to use genuine seals though as I heard OEM or pattern can be a bit variable. They no longer seem to show these on the Zeus website, although they do show all of the braking conversions they produce for older leaf-sprung trucks. My calipers are original but with low mileage the pistons have been exposed to the elements too long and are unrecoverable. |

They'll be absolutely fine. Sell them to me if you don't want them ![]() |

Two bolts and one pipe. Dab of loctite on the mounting bolts when you fit the new ones. Pads in and bleed up. Personally I'd pop the pistons out and change them for stainless but each to their own.

Agreed. I fancy refurbing the old calipers with ss pistons and perhaps a coat of paint?
