Nice. I've looked at that route and the Immingham Brevik route as well, but not actually taken it yet.... Sounds like a good trip ![]() |

![]() Click image to enlarge Connections are made using pre-assembled armour cable with waterproof ends. ![]() Click image to enlarge The controller runs the engine block heater / battery charger and interior fan heater when the vehicle is plugged into 220v, it has 2 start times ( morning-go to work and afternoon-finishing work) - it starts the interior fan 2 hrs before estimate departure time to defrost window and warm cabin It also gives voltage / outside temp and time when driving along. ![]() Click image to enlarge Interior heater ![]() Click image to enlarge Block heater in lower radiator hose. ![]() Click image to enlarge Battery charger is mounted under front wing. |

I would think it would be more efficient if the heater is placed in de circuit before the thermostat, so then you do not heat up the radiator circuit.. Cheers, Vincent

I fitted it as per manufacturers instructions.
Hot water tends to rise so does warm up the engine block. In the block heater catalogue some vehicle models do fit direct into the block after removing a core plug. |

I use a system from Calix which is similar to Defa. 220 V engine block heater and electrical cab heater plus battery charger. And in addition a Webasto cab heater (with remote control) under the cubby box.

Hans,
That looks very neat hidden under the cubby box ... Can see a hose going towards the rear or does it blow warm air to your feet ? Mine is just in rear load area. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

There is a T-piece at the rear of the box spreading the hot air towards the sides in the rear passenger area. But the hot air spreads quickly to the entire cabin. The mounting box also got holes at the sides spreading hot air. The box box comes from https://www.nakatanenga.de/
