There's about half a dozen on e-Bay atm, price range from £10 - £14 Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Just to update this thread slightly, I've just got a Type 99 relay for £13.99 including P&P from eBay, so they are still available fairly cheaply. Mark S

I've just added photos to the original post for the TDCi, easiest mod you could ever do, do it quick before the rain starts again! Mark S

Britpart have recently started selling this relay:
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-LR057366BPPROG It is actually the Bosch one pictured: part number 0 986 335 058 Fitted the relay, and the programmable function works great... but when the front wash/wipe function is called for, the washers spray, but the wipers don't move Has anyone got this mod working on recent'ish models? Mine being a 2014 i'm not sure whether this mod still works? |

Mine is a late 2013 XS first registered November 30. This mod worked fine for me! Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft

Britpart £43? They're taking the pee!
Go to your local scrap dealer (if you have one) I got one for a pound using the vehicle reference chart and pulled one out of a VW! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I realise they are very expensive, but I am quite anal regarding my cars, and I prefer not to have a relay with a VW logo in the fuse box
I have emailed britpart, so will hopefully get confirmation that this is a dodgy relay and get it replaced by rimmers, but if the next is the same I'll try a VW one. I was quoted for a genuine VW relay at £48 so the britpart one is priced about right |

Muds website has no mention of the effect on the wash/wipe |

Any of these work, from a thread in 2009...Posted by Dgardel, redundant links removed.
Volskwagen code: 357 955 531 or 3B0 955 531 Bosch code: 0 986 335 058 Beru code: 0 900 301 082 To program is easy: Push down on the w-w lever, have it wipe once, bring it up and wait until you need to wipe again, then push it down. It'll use the same wait interval! Very clever, but not obvious. more info and more spare parts code here Selec wiki If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
