Service time (my first on a defender)
I'm just after buying filters etc for the service, She's sitting at 70k and its a 2.4 puma 90.

What oils are yous guys using in the
Engine
Gearbox
Transfer box
Diffs

Ive just ordered a pump so I can get it into the gearbox to make things slightly easier.

I don't do any off roading it's mostly journeys of say 150/200 miles to fishing (I only tow for about 5 miles of that journey) then she sits on the drive for another two weeks before going out again.

This would be appreciated

For engine I use Castrol 5W/30 A1 = £20 for 4L at the moment at Costco

What pump have you got?

A sealey one from fleabay for less that £20 I can't complain, I'll use one I already have to extract the old stuff.

Make sure you get the GL4 and GL5 bits correct.
Remember GL5 is not 'better' and suitable to replace GL4

Most oil companies have oil selectors on there websites , put your model or reg in and it tells you what oil and amount normally

branded oils and filters is all you need

filters , mahle,mann,fram , coopers dont think there is anything between them quality wise
