If you use a drl controller you dont need a ign live

Ok the drl controller they using is just a dimmer for when sidelights on , not voltage sensitive controller
there are lots of different controllers you can get and some use ign live and some just permanent live and earth Does it dim drl,s when sidelights on to turn off drl,s when sidelights on ? |

It dims the DRL's as far as I'm aware. Which is what I would like.

Hello
Ive just fitted the Quad DRL bumper from Urban Truck, Ive taken the feed straight off the battery through inline fuse to the controllers. There is some wires on the controller that you don't need I think it's a .5 brown and .5 red if I remember right these can be cut off. Connect the whites to the posi on the side light and this will enable the DRL'S to dim once the sides are on. Pic of mine in my album, Don't know how to upload it here though. Davie |

If its non voltage sensing then you need a ign live
The reason i asked as some just use perm live and switch on automatic when engine starts by sensing charge voltage this way they stay on for 30 secs or so after you switch off as a kind of see you home function |
