The 300TDi engine should not give you any problems on hills, so there must be something wrong, have you checked all the pipes attached to your turbo for leaks and firm attachment, sometimes a leaking turbo pipe can drastically cut down engine performance.
Other than fitting a full sized intercooler the only other option for more power is proper timing, setting tappets correctly or tweaking the fuel pump. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Thanks for that my friend. There was a whopping big intercooler already installed in it when we bought it a month ago. I'll check the pipes and see what's happening, many thanks.

I had a turbo pipe split once. On hills I just had to keep changing down the gears until I crawled over the top in second

No mate, tomorrow when it's daylight. Been choka block all day today sadly. It's a recon turbo on there (only bought about 6 months ago with all new pipes) so i'm thinking if it's not a broken pipe (which I doubt) maybe something wasn't put on right when it was put back on. I'll probably end up taking photos to show you guys as i'm new to this working on your own car gig and it's quite exciting the thought of being able to repair it myself

All pipes are fine and not cracked or split. In fact they're all new.
