Is it just me who thinks Clarkson is one of the most annoying people on tv? Laughing

Not just you Thumbs Up

There wasn't much point in sacking him because his contract was over anyway wasn't it?
I'm not sure what all the hundreds of thousands of people that signed the "bring back Clarkson" petition were thinking. Een though it wasn't proven at the time, ignoring the fact that he might have assaulted someone at work is pretty stupid. I doubt you'd say that if you'd suffered it.

She does have a lovely voice though...

Can't stand that 'Don't I look sooooo beautiful' female on BBC's F1. Glad I've got Sky.

Shame but there's no going back once you have lost your temper like that.

They did produce some of the most thoughtful and beautiful filming ever to grace the airways. The framing and camera work on topgear is only beaten by the bbc wildlife department. The way they put that together will never be repeated.

I like people who are succesful and speak their mind.

But you can't punch your staff, I've lost my temper in a massive way but fortunately saw it coming and walked off another second!

I believe the right decision has been made. There is no excuse for physical violence/intimidation, anywhere, although many seem to get away with it..
Although Clarkson "made" Top Gear, & I mostly enjoyed watching him, I would imagine that he could be a fairly arrogant, selfish, person if the mood took him.

So, well done to the Beeb for upholding their principles. No one needs a bully.

Oh, TG will now be bo!!ocks, never mind, it was one of the only things I ever watched on TV.

Looking forward to seeing the young Zayn Malik racing across Africa in a beat up old Landy. That'll bring in the young drivers. Rolling with laughter

Seriously though, TG's Aston Martin V12 Vantage video was the best video I have ever seen on TV. Still puts a lump in my throat. Big Cry --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like him on the telly but not at my dinner table. That goes for most people I enjoy watching or listening to.

I am amazed at the number of people who seem to be saying the BBC got it wrong - lefty / tree hugger type things.

If the facts are as reported - do these people feel that if their boss punched them enough times that they needed to take themselves to casualty he should be let off because he's popular ?

How are folk able to separate the reality from their liking a celebrity ? Am I missing something ?

Can you imagine - 'I met Clarkson the other day Smile punched my wife in a fit of temper - but he's a great guy'.

I'm lost with public opinion.

That Aston Martin film was what I was thinking when I said it was well filmed. He just shut up and let it be filmed. Same for the what was made in Britain. How good was that, obviously the best bit was all the land rovers coming over a hill.

Another annoying individual has been rumoured to be in the frame for the vacant slot.......Chris Evans apparently? Courtesy of BBC News, however he has been reported as saying "It doesn't interest him!" If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

I hope that the BBC now has the sound judgement to let the programme die and doesn't as is rumoured "reinvent it for new presenters".
