Thanks munchy I'll give that a go in the morning.
I'm not saying the servo has gone but they just don't seem great.

Edit - I've just remembered something else I'll have to check, as I've removed the EGR and all the gubbins with it, I've blanked the 'T' off that goes to the EGR from the brake pipe with a short piece of pipe and a bolt with silicon , I'll also check that's not leaking somehow.
Cheers

The brakes are superb, they will lock up without excessive force now. Before you could stand on the pedal and it was rock hard but the landy just pulled up slowly. I moved a friends trailer (2 tonnes) and it had no brakes, it just pushed me and I nearly went through a wall....very scary ! so I knew I had to investigate this issue.
I got the servo from Ribble valley 4x4 and I think its a TRW/oem one.

I hope you can see the crack on the pic.

Hmmm this is interesting, same on a family member's 90 TD5. Had new discs, pads and calipers and it's still not great.

Out of interest, what part number is the servo for a TD5 non-abs? At only £50 a pop it's worth doing on a punt.

Thanks!

Part number is STC4322.
Mine's an 06 but it's only done 34k miles, I'm sure it's been like that for a year or so too.

Brilliant, cheers chap.

This is a 56 plate and around 80k miles so sounds reasonable!

Just finished fitting and test driving after fitting a new servo, I have to say the difference is massive! I honestly didn't know that the brakes were as bad as they were. I'd say they have getting on for twice the stopping power of previous.

Thanks to all the replies, especially NickH for the info and picture Thumbs Up
