Heated seat switch
Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but i've also spent the weekend fitting Waeco heated seats and now need to wire them in to my 08 Puma. Is there any switch available to replace the small round 2 position switch supplied with the kit, that is more in fitting with the rest of the dash switches? I could use the factory heated seat switch but this only has one position.

Hi Phil, started a new thread for you as it's about switches rather than wiring.

I'm not aware of any three position (off/on/on) original type switch which could be used.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Some info here about using factory switches, but only with one heat setting.

Thanks Martin, I might try to mount the little round switches supplied into the blanks where the factory seat switches would be. I would like to avoid any extra holes drilled in the dash!

Phil, here's what I did.

I used both Thumbs Up

I used the OE switch to switch the relay on the Weaco kit.

I then left the round switches in the circuit but hid them away. I leave them on P2 as I find P1 a bit pathetic.

I can always change the heat setting if I wanted but find leaving them hidden away and on P2 and switchged form the OE switch just fine Thumbs Up

If you say that P1 is a waste of time, then I suppose I could just wire the P2 circuit into a OE switch. Got a few options to think about now...
