I've fitted the switches for the Ultragauge, made the screen a bit greener and updated my blog.
http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09...ation.html I've made the switch looms in such a way that someone else can fit them without having to do any soldering. The individual wires can be passed through the holes and clicked into the 6 way connector housing. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |

Wow! Looking great.
As soon as/if you feel you want to start selling these conversions, you'll have people biting your hand off! Great work:thumbsup: |

This is flippin' awesome Mark, respect is due sir... ![]() If only I had the patience and the know how and the tools... ![]() Failing that, I would certainly be interested if you go live with the D2.net offering... ![]() And I even have the UG ready and waiting, albeit clumsily mounted on my steering column in rough alignment with your finished awesomeness... ![]() ![]() The GREEN One... I've updated the coloured filters to improve the colour match. A proprietary blend of 5 filters required. I'm quite pleased with it considering it's a blue light source.

You are going to be a very busy man the list must be getting very long for these conversions as I said before mine is a 2.2 and I have an ultaguage in stock. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Well done Tono - I look forward to seeing the pictures.
![]() For the colours I have used the following. 1 layer of yellow 2 layers of apple green 2 layers of grey http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190559189509?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT To position the needles you rotate the needle towards the zero position. For temperature, rotate clockwise For Diesel, rotate anticlockwise If this is not clear, let me know and I can make a short video. Regards, Mark http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |

Thanks Mark
Will look at it this week-end and let you know. I'm confident for the temp needle but not for the fuel one : this one came out with the axe attached (the other needles came off OK leaving the axe in place) !! ![]() I don't know if the needles reset their positions at each ON/OFF cycle. If that's the case : I'll probably do a cycle without the needle attached and then re-attached needle (+axe in one case) at the zero (bottom) position. Video is nice if you can do it without too much hassle ![]() |
