There is no lamp in the cluster that illuminates when low range is selected.
There is a low range symbol on the fascia, I assume this does activate in the Discovery. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |

There should be a light for when diff lock is engaged. If I remember correctly it is on the right hand side of the instrument cluster. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |

As far as I'm aware, there is no low range light in 2.4 models. A search on the forum does come to this conclusion as well. Have a search for diff lock light and there are plenty of results of how to rectify this. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)

Ok, to simplify what should be a simple question and answer:
No low range light when low range selected. Difflock light will illuminate when centre difflock engaged. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. The light functions regarding difflock and high / low are the same. Steve.

In a Puma the following numbers (as per diagram above) is not relevant and will never light up:
No 3, 20, 22, 23 and 27. |

That looks like a DPF warning lamp. An amber light illuminated would need a manual regeneration taken place I would have guessed. I don't have a 2.2 puma but this is the case on lorries.
