You can srew a bolt in the half shaft and pull it out.

They are important as they make sure that the CV joint is exact the right position. Roel

What size bolt ?

You can use one of the hub flange bolts which although aren't quite the correct thread, when screwed in by hand give you enough purchase to pull on the shaft.

All done.

Bit of a faff but done.

Had to take the hub back off and when I did the staked nut stripped some of the threads on the stub axle !

It's all gone back on ok so lets wait and see how it goes .

Enjoyed doing it, doing the bearings was fun.
