Converting from TD5 shimmed to standard wheel bearings
Following on from the issue I had with the rear flange bolts shearing off.
To bring the info into one topic, the parts I think I need are;

A set of TDi wheel bearings
http://shop.defenderbits.co.uk/hub-bearing...2373-p.asp
Thrust washer
Lock nut x 2
tab washer (the one you bend over) to stop the nut undoing

anything else? 1999 Defender TD5 110

If you want to go the whole hog.........rear hub seal, paper hub flange gasket and perhaps new hub cap. That's about all, the only other things in there are the circlip and perhaps some shims for the end of the half shaft.

I have an odd one on different wheels on mine, they are fitted between the circlip and the hub flange, their purpose totally eludes me but I put them back on as they give a little bit of support to the circlip.

I did this recently as I had a full bearing set for my old 300Tdi 90, but used them on me TD5 110.

Just removed all the TD5 kit and used the new bearings (though the same as the TD5 ones) with the thrust washers and tab washers.

Can re-use the old bearings if in good nick, just remove the centre spacer thing and sit the race back in. But may as well run the new bearings!

You're fine John, bearing kits the same on all four corners.
