TD5 Sluggish

After all my trouble when the TD5 died due to Ecu.

I now notice that when towing (a discovery 1995) that my car is quite sluggish compared to previously.
Is there a big difference is the set up of the 90 & 110 ecu?

I'm not aware of any difference between a 90 and 110 ECU. Have you checked all the usual things to make sure the engine is behaving? www.td5.org

I plugged in the Hawkeye this morning. Mas Air flow logged.
I got a spare to give it a try,

I think there is some torque differences between the 90 & 110 tune, but nothing that you'd really notice.

2005 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Bonatti Grey

Like others have said; check the MAF by disconnecting and see if performance improves.

If so - replace - but only with genuine/OEM as the cheap ones last no time at all really.

No difference unplugging it. I got a spare in the big box of bits anyway.

Can I fit any TD5 defender (not disco) ecu into my car, code injectors & security and it will be ok? Or are the numbers very important?

if you unplugged it and it made no difference its fine . re ECU not to sure Postmanpat
