Wipers stopped again

So my wipers stopped completely the other day. Being a bit worried about electics I took my 2002 tdi 90 into the local landrover specialist, £300 later and a new motor fitted they worked like a dream for 45 mins in the pouring rain. Until they stopped again. The shop is closed today so can't speak to them just yet , but I can't help feeling i've been sold a motor I didn't need. Any thoughts out there boys a d girls?

There is 2 little gearboxes in the dash that drive a spindle through the bulkhead and onto the wiper arm. Ive seen a few times when the spindle has ceased and then the fuse blows for the motor. Check your fuses first and if they its blown and then blows again then it will probably be the spindles. Cheap part to buy but the whole dash needs to come out to fit them.

you don't define what 'stopped completely' is - nothing at all, wipe partly then stop across screen, etc?

But does sound like the motor was not needing replacement.
