we have them ontop of all lifeboats on the ships... even just one large letter or number would help how many defenders are currently going around with them 'is that the stolen defender? it has the letter L and is the right colour but...' we have our call sign's down them, think my last one was c6vq8...

Hmm, that's a pity, incompatible with a permanent mounted roofrack

How much are they I've seen the just under £30 mark direct from Skytag, I assume that's correct?

don't be tempted to put your post code on the roof
![]() Having the LandyWatch number or part of number plate on the roof is a really great idea I bet D J Hutton could come up with some large stickers ? |

I'm thinking of getting a personal plate at some point so the two would tie up nicely IMO. ____\We|Will|Win/___

It was thought years ago that it was an ideal crime prevention tool and so it was for some years until it was found that The criminal family could could enter the postcode into a database and locate your empty home. The newer system such as that operated by Skytag and other companies who issue a use once code that will only ever apply to your vehicle is thought to be more secure. Don't make old people mad.

Although.... after watching numerous police-catch-chav programmes, once the eye in the sky, AKA helicopter, is up and working, it takes a matter of minutes for them to locate even the most average looking eurobox, so a defender would stick out like a sore thumb.

Really good idea - so it can say anything really, as long as it identifies the vehicle quickly once you call the police
![]() However, isn't it somewhat limited by the number of helicopters around? I don't think even Google Earth updates that fast... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Google earth street view is a pain in the behind if you ask me, perfectly shows mine in the drive just with plate obliterated. Luckily not very conspicuous anyway but still it's there viewable to anyone remotely.
AFAK trackers can be tracked by plod cars too by road not just by air. ____\We|Will|Win/___ ____/π¬π§πΊπΈ\____ _//*β½οΈπ’οΈβοΈπ§°*\\_ |

You can ask Google to remove the image. They have done so with every request I've made. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.
