You need to go 1/2 to 3/8 then 3/8 to 1/4.
Tbh using a 1/2 wrench on a 1/4 socket is asking for something to get broken! |

Other way around. I have a 22mm 1/2" socket, and need to use a 1/4" wrench on it "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" ![]() |

Try macine mart.

I don't have to look out for him, he comes and sees me twice a week! I'll have a word with him! If not, I may have to use a 3/8" instead of a 1/4", but that all depends if a 3/8" extension bar will fit in the gap that I need it to "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" ![]() |

If it gets desperate you could allways weld a 1/4" drive extension onto the 1/2" drive 22mm socket and by doing so tailor make the length of the extension to your needs.

^^Thanks for the suggestion JWL, if all else fails then that may well be the best way forward. I'm going to go and see if I can get a 3/8" bar to fit in the gap, and if not then on the plan B, seen as I can't find the adaptor I need

Why not use a 3/8 dr socket, and a 1/4f to 3/8m adaptor, both which are widely available?
