Hi,
Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions for a good primer for my cappings. Im going to shot blast them while there on as its only a few spots next to the rear door that need doing. I got a pack of rattle cans from land rover for the colour and top coat but need some primer in a can too. Any suggestions? Thanks. Pete. |

some self etching primer would be fine id guess. maybe go over it with high build primer then topcoat it.

This:

Why don't you get them galved? Then paint over the top in desired colour.
That way you can fit and forget. |

Got some etch primer today and some hi build to go over the top.
I will be doing that when I get chance but as I work in my defender most days it's hard to find time to take the roof off and remove the cappings and getting them galv and painted. Will do it when I need a new chassis I guess. Thanks. Pete. |
