Simple DIY swap.

The only drilling is for older boxes, a couple of holes need to be drilled (and tapped) for the handbrake bracket, but the 300s and Td5 boxes, the handbrake just uses the normal 4 large bolts and the cable goes directly into the back of the anchor plate.

Takes between an hour and 2 to swap one over.

It'd better be!! Confused
Just bought one, I'll collect it next weekend and see how I go, at least that way I can try it before I go ahead with the conversion. Cheers Jim

don't forget the hi/lo switch housing.

Tdi300 doesn't have it. so if you have a box like that, you will need to swap over that housing for the switch. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island.

Thanks folks.
Well, I've fitted the box, did it over a pit which was a big help, I can honestly say it drives much better now, seems smoother, quieter, more relaxed, makes for a much better drive IMO. So far the box is perfect, the best £££'s I've spent yet. I've not had chance to do a fuel consumption comparison yet but I would estimate it to be slightly better. Chuffed to bits. Very Happy
