Do they have beadlocks on them, or is that just the "pattern" around the rim edge?

I keep the Beadlock rings separate. The wheels are designed to just have the rings bolted on, but it's a nightmare to do and very time consuming as there are 26 of the bu66ers to tighten up per wheel! However, when on it does mean I can lower the pressures to about 16 plus as the rings are steel they are a great rim saver for the alloy.

They don't have the bead lockers fitted, but they can be fitted, if purchased. The wheel is a 7j wheel standard, and 8j with need lockers fitted. Also have a nice offset, bringing the wheel out 20mm.

Hope you don't mind me answering, but same wheels as mine.

Cheers all, they look good.
I take it then if you have the locking ring attached, it just goes on the outside or the rim?

andy LAndy... in that photo ^^^ does yours have the ring fitted? ( I don't want/need beadlockers y'see, just trying to see what they look like without)

No, the rings aren't attached. If they were it is more than likely they would be silver in colour. Where you see the holes(26 I think) you would see the bolt heads and the ring would make the wheel look like it had a very thick rim.

No bead locker fitted to mine, just run them as 7j's with 265's on. If they had the lockers fitted you would see all the bolt heads on the rim.

Andy,

Unfortunately, I haven't any photos with the rings on, but there is a chance AndrewS(I think) on here may have some of his "J-Lo" with them on as I am sure he had the beadlock rims fitted when it was in Landrover International. Possibly worth PM'ing him. He may have a couple showing what they are like with the pressures right down.
I would love to have a photo to send, but couldn't be ars3d fitting over a 100 fiddly nuts & bolts!!!!!! Confused

Yeah, I saw J-Lo's pictures with those rims on too.

That's what size I'm aiming for (when finds allow Rolling Eyes ) for the 110 ..... 265 ATs.

Thanks again. Thumbs Up

Well, after toying with all the options and reviewing all the fab info on here - I bit the bullet and did a BAS remap for the 110 and my partners Disco TD5.
This included having the EGR valve turned off and the standard 'tweak' that Pete supplies on the 110 and an ‘off the shelf’ standard remap on the disco.
I'm not into going quick (65 is more than enough for me!) but do a lot of motorway miles for work (5 hrs each way) and long runs when touring with canoes and the rest of our camping kit, so wanted some mid range grunt and better MPG.
The Disco was very weak in pulling up hills and living in N Cornwall we have one or 2 to play with on a daily basis.

Pete at BAS was able to take a ‘non-tech turkey’ (me) through the process of copying and sending then re-down loading the re-map without any hitches (ok .. with one or 2 minor operator error ones!) Whistle Whistle
The TD5 entailed removing the ECU (yikes!) and posting it to BAS who tweaked it and sent it back the next day.
Results on both vehicles have been good so far, with a Cheshire cat effect on my partner with her Disco remap that got bigger the longer she drove it ! Very Happy
We are now looking at an EGR blanking at her request – but as that involves the use of ‘spanners’ I’ll have to build up some courage before attempting! Embarassed

The 110 is more responsive at mid-range speeds (40-60) and cruises at 60 at about 2000 rpm with no effort which is what I wanted.
'Chuga-Chuga-Chuga' from the EGR on shut down is no more due to it being turned off as well.
Not sure of the MPG yet as, I've only driven about 400 miles, but will see what I get on the way home from work in a couple of weeks when I fill up again on my normal run.

I know that there are a lot of other ways to 'tweak' the vehicles performance and have followed all the discussions on the forum - but I am not in any particular 'camp', however this is the way I've gone at the moment and it seems to meet my requirements for now. Exclamation
Next is to delve into the mystery of fitting cruise control ... Whistle Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold
