60k service,
Hi all,
Can someone tell me what's involved on a 60k service.
Puma 2.4
I've read it's:
Major oil filter & drain (I guess this is just oil filter 10? Plus sump plug 5?)
Oil and check other levels
The stealers want 400!
What oil is used and what quantity?
Do I need owt else for me or local garage to do it?
Thanks its only a car!

I've found these on duckworths
2.4 Service Kit 12k/36k/60k
Part No.: DEF08KIT12K
10.40 (+VAT at 20%)
&
2.4 Service Kit 24k/48k/72k
Part No.: DEF08KIT24K
65.81 (+VAT at 20%)

So now I just need the oil
Any tips

Also does anyone have any opinions on the
ITG profilter its only a car!

Service price is about average. I paid more or less that at an Indy for a 24k service never mind a 60k and LR wanted touching on 500! Plenty of work required to do the job. Thumbs Up

P.s. Regarding the ITG filter K9F has one along with a Safari snorkel and has no issues. Just don't oil it to much. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

if you are a member, Costco is having a deal on Castrol oil from 05 Nov for two weeks:

Magnatec A1 (Ford Spec for Puma Def) is 18.50 for 4 litres inc VAT
Edge is 23.50 for 4 litres inc VAT

Catch is you need to be a member to shop there.

This may be useful?

Agree re Costco - I usually get my oil there (or Opie)...

I don't think you need a sump plug...I'm sure mine had a rubber re-usable washer...

"Plenty of work required to do the job"
Isn't it relatively straightforward? Confused its only a car!

Just time consuming. Meaning plenty of labour cost so approx half the price at least will be labour. Fluids especially engine oil costs a fair bit too. If you buy a kit yourself or even do it yourself I would go for Genuine parts every time. Aftermarket will likely be Britpart or similar and inferior. Just my opinion anyway. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Thanks everyone,
I basically live on Costco products, sushi, bagel, chicken, milk, dog food, it's like Groundhog Day when I go, at least I can now visit the oil isle too! Smile

Oh I've just seen the oil change sticky in the puma section Doh

I just had a 60k B type service carried out today at Westovers, Christchurch (I didn't have to pay for it.....another story). Yet again their attitude seems to have changed for the better, funny how it seems 'cyclic?'

380 would have been the bill....... Shocked

Can't complain even if I did have to pay for it.....currently got a little over 33k on it and the last time she was serviced was July 2010 at the 24k point. I do drop the oil every 6k though and had the Femco Drainplug fitted in lieu of a sump plug so no more oil on the block paving......They did like the truck too and have a Twisted 110 on the plot for a cool 42k!

Thumbs Up

Linky fingy for oil drain plug if interested:
