Collected something red and black from Yeovil Land Rover - too dark now for pictures
First impressions on the 20 mile drive home - brilliant It is very quiet, does not bounce around like the 2.4 90's I have driven, no rattles, gear change is ... I can't believe it is a Defender Only odd bit is the rev holding on gear changes, it will take getting used to. All I can say is don't believe everything you read about the 2.2's, initial feeling is that it is better than the 2.4. Excellent service from start to finish from Yeovil LR Pictures will follow sometime, going to be busy enjoying it Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Today my 90 went in for its Charge/cooler pipes to be replaced (its not just a recall on the turbo pipe it's a coolant hose aswell) and for the drivers door and bonnet to be re a lined and a paint defect to be looked at and don't know if its me but since the new pipes and new software I recon its made a difference to the drive as seems to Haag more power lower down the revs

Put the roof tent up (in the drive) to check all was OK after winter storage and that it still unfolded OK, as we moved it forward a bit from where we had it positioned last year. All fine so stuck the bedding in and folded it all up again!
Next job was going to be the window guards but Dave got sidetracked fitting the rear work lights we bought from Brendan last summer. Good job done and took advantage of a dry day. They seem quite bright in the daylight but will have another look later when it's proper dark. Our blog - http://landytravels.com/ Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |
