Speaker Adapter?
Quick question:-

Is there such a thing as a speaker 'adapter ring' which will allow fitment of 130mm speakers in the factory (Puma) under-dash 100mm speaker location?

I have no desire to cut my dashboard around, but like the idea of a larger speaker (which seem to be a little better value than 100mm speakers!)

Your advice / input is appreciated in advance as always...........

Thanks GUM97,

I had seen those, but I don't understand how they'd work.

They only appear to have straight through holes, so I don't see how they'd allow a 130mm speaker to fit in a 100mm speaker space?

I would have thought there would have been two 'rings' in them - one to fit the 100mm dash hole and one to fit the 130mm speaker?

I was looking at it too just the other day just the same idea as you. I too couldn't work out how they fit and work. in the end I just thought as I originally did that A. I don't like the look of them proud of the dash and not flush and B. that the power difference wasn't enough to change over something like 5w RMS each so pointless really.
All they had to do was to a picture write up of each step of the fitting process. Rolling Eyes Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Speakers tend to taper John.

You would be able to get most of a 130mm speaker into a 100mm hole, this just accommodates the last 16mm in depth.

It won't work with all 13cm speakers only shallow ones

Is there anything about to fit something like a 6x9 in the back too without taking a saw to it? Darren

I would doubt it. Not only that I would doubt the magnet would even fit in the 10cm hole anyway without cutting. Even if it did it wouldn't sound good as the air would be partially trapped. Only way is to cut. Saying that you can buy 6x9 rear panels already made. Thumbs Up Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧
