Baby Black
Exactly one month after Big Black went off to it's new owners I picked up it's replacement.

Only done 23k miles, full history, VERY well looked after... Absolute bargain really. Plus it goes like stink! Unfortunately the mileage will probably be triple what it is now by Christmas Sad

I'll be putting my private plate on it in a couple of weeks, then it'll be a little bit 'more' mine.

At least this will fit on my street, the Transit wouldn't and had to park it round the corner!

Only niggles so far, rear electric windows won't work and the passenger side sun visor has a broken clip so occasionally drops. Nothing major (i hope!), still, the Land Rover had issues the first day I had that too!

At least if we get any snow this year I won't be expected to play works taxi!

Warren - I know this sounds stupid and I don't wish to be insulting, but have you checked that the child locks aren't on for the rear windows? Usually a button near the electric window switched on the drivers' door. Sometimes it can be hard to tell whether the child lock is on or not. It is on the Golf anyway. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I did think it was that, but unfortunately it wasn't. Thinking (hoping) it'll be something simple though. They won't work from the front or the back, so hoping it's just a fuse or something.... Hopefully. Not that it's a big issue, but it's still nice to have everything working.

LOL!

Gave it a Zagging today. Doesn't sparkle the same as Santorini Black!

Also tried to sort the rear electric windows out, swapped the fuses round for the front electric window fuse, still doesn't work, fuse is fine as it works the front windows. Fuse box is in the boot, ended up dropping the little plastic fuse remover down the back somewhere, never to be seen again...

Also found out that Vauxhall forums are quite unhelpful!

Astras aren't actually that bad! Dad used to love them and had quite a few (before I converted him to the green ovel Whistle ) Although he never had the problem with the electric rear windows, but that was probably because he had manual rear windows Laughing An engine to TDi for!

My old one did 212k and never let me down, I'm hoping this will be the same ha!

Not a fan of the automatic lights and wipers though...

Any of you who went to Trentham 4x4 shows or the Easter ALRC inter club events.... I drove my old mk2 Astra from the motorway bridge, up and across the ridge that ran along the top ! That car never missed a beat for about 4 years (was the exes) and it cost me nothing !

First breakdown last night! Turns out that about 10 miles after the fuel light comes on the tank is empty. I found this out in the outside lane of the M65!!!
