Great job you've done on that Matt
![]() Ive just finished mine (if it is ever really finished), and if it helps, found 12mm flat closed cell foam (I used foil faced foam in the hot areas) fits nicely under the rubber transmission tunnel mat and inside the doors - any thicker and it gets hard to form around the curves. |

Hi Steve,
I've nearly finished the rear seat box, cut three holes in it to set two amps in and a plastic storage box and then covered the whole lot in Dynamat and then carpet - Pics to follow .... |

Interested to know why you put the egg box style acoustic foam on the roof and the dynamat elsewhere...? Apart from cost why not put the dynamat on the roof as well...? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |

Hi BjornAgain,
It wasn't a cost reason. I wasn't convinced that the Dynamat would stay glued to the ceiling and if it 'fell' off would be heavy on the headlining. Time will tell if the foam will be just as effective in it's sound deadening properties... |

Thanks Chadjizz
![]() Yes, actually now I've used it on the floor it does stick fine. I don't think I'll be able to tell the difference between that and the foam on the ceiling acoustically though. |
