Jumping query
I need to jump another vehicle using my Puma-engined 110, figured I'd ask if I need to watch out for anything out of the ordinary when jumping using the Puma as the source?

Admit that it is a pretty basic query, however last time I had to jump a vehicle I fried the wife's car's ECU by not following Mercedes' approved jumping procedure. Embarassed

I had visions of a 110 flying through the air over the top of a mini or something then....

Silly me! As far as i know there are no special procedures, i have jumped a few cars using my 2009 90 with no problems. Just have a look in the manual.

Regards,

Mark

Standard jumping procedure really but watch out for any uninsulated bits of the positive jump connection touching the lip or sides of the battery box. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

Be VERY careful what you are jumping - a lot of modern cars DO NOT allow you to jump them - You have to disconnect their battery or risk frying the very expensive ECU - If in doubt don't do it !

What you described is exactly what happened with my wife's car. Embarassed

This time however I'm only jumping another Landie, an old 1983 One Ten. No ECU to deal with, just lots of dust and some rust. Very Happy
