Hi dgardel, the extended bowl makes checking for contamination much easier! Please note you need to modifiy the fuel filter cover also.

You don't need to use a plate. I used 1 1/4 inch square tubing welded into a H shape. Drilled out the holes for the chassis mounting points, then drill out the filter housing fixing holes and insert riv nuts to fix the housing onto. Open up the bottom tabs on the housing cover and fabricate an extension to cover the bowl. Once welded and grinded, drill a 1/2 hole in the centre of the extension (to give a visible indication without opening the cover) then spray black, a couple of hours work. Thumbs Up

and for those going direction real cold there are heating spiral versions available to keep your diesel liquid in winter.

if you google "130 on portals" you'll find the build thread on another forum of this marvelous 130 and he is explaining the lot about the filters also.

Also you can get a warning light system to go with this filter
