Just show's you the "types" BP
![]() ![]() It's so simple check your lights ALL of them that they are functioning correctly and use them correctly on the road at night i.e. Dipped beam in all situations and main beam ONLY when clear and not dazelling any other road users. Put um back through a driving test I say. ![]() β½οΈπ’οΈβοΈπ§°πͺ |

I once told someone that one of their headlights was out and they said they hadn't realised - it beggars belief
![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I had a bulb failure on the driver's side of the Golf last winter and it really did surprise me how little difference it actually made, I was expecting it to be extremely noticeable. Obviously, I only made the journey back home before replacing the bulb. I suppose it could be that you actually rely more heavily on your nearside headlight, as that's the one illuminating the verge and road edge, don't know. I suppose it's back to the same thing that a lot of people just don't check their lights, ever. The best is following cars that don't have a single brake light working, not even the high-level one. Or alternatively cars whose brake lights are on constantly, regardless of whether the brakes are on or not. I've followed both types fairly recently, and the cars weren't that old either. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Just been to the local tip, sorry local recycling centre with a load of plastic bottles and put them into the required bank.
Now this bottle bank is a container about 8 feet high with a series of portholes cut in at about 5 feet high. Now that means in rough terms the container can only be 5/8 or 62.5% filled. Now why not have a bottle bank 6 feet high so it can be 5/6 filled or 83% filled. Now a 6 ft high container should have cost the council less money to buy and less money and smaller impact on the environment to actually transport being lighter and more aerodynamic then its 8 ft counterpart. Now I always think the council/government attitude to the environment is questionable to say the least. Now is this another example of the council not actually thinking or just a slavish desire to conform to EU dictats? Brendan |

Ferking insurance companies.
Why do they insist on putting you on hold, just transferring you Sir, actually means we are going to bombard your hearing with some goddam awful noise whilst Joe or whoever finishes his fag break/dinner hour/gossiping with his colleague. Phone me back when you have the correct person to talk to me, otherwise go forth etc. Brendan |

Rain - had a good day outside yesterday catching up on a season's worth of gardening, hedging etc. needed today to get the tall hedges done [10'] but hey-ho the rain has started coming down is sheets.
The only good part is i am in the garage servicing son's Polo - it seems so very small after the Defender ! BM52 |

Why do all new style battery chargers refuse to charge a flat battery?
