Mantec/Mambo roof bar wind noise
I'm getting a terriable whistle from any speed above 40 mph. Taped up holes on top and along the side where the clamps go. Front bar seems a lot worse than rear. Does any one else get a annoying whistle that the radio wont cover?
The front bar is fitted about 10" from front of roof, has to stay on as an awning is attached. If it can't be fixed then I'll fit a roof rack.

I suspect it's the position rather than a detail of the bar itself. I've got three First Four bars with the front one mounted directly over the B post and that creates a bit of wind noise. Not so much as to be a real nuisance though, fortunately. Darren

I think that is the problem. Can't mount it any further back otherwise the awning will be in supported at the front, Ill have to move it forward and see if tht makes any difference.
