Thanks Pam.
Been talking with Jake about these bumpers and as far as non aircon is concerned he told me to wait for the revised version if fitting a TDS or Talon - no grill cutting with the new version. The TF aircon winch bumper I have on the 110 is a 'standard' version and it takes the Talon - just - with some grill cutting. The Talon is bigger than the TDS so I would guess you will be fine but don't be surprised if you need to trim the plastic rad grill a bit at the bottom. I am also going to change my Boosts for modulars, not sure if black or silver yet, so I will wait to see your pictures - they may help me decide Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

removed wheels to check brakepads discovering uneven wear on one of the discs.
Front inside caliper corroded pistons. on a 4 year old car no comment Vented discs so easy to see, outside has half thickness compared to inside might be worth checking yours before calipers are trash. Carefully pushing them out by applying brakes and a lot of WD40 and careful sanding took corrosion away. Take care when pressing the outer seal-rings back which will come out with the pistons. Mine were corroded onto the pistons and needed a good bit of soaking before they would move. All back in place and working now. |

Final question, honest ! Did you buy the wheels/tyres as a package, if so, who from ? I think I will go for silver after seeing yours. Thanks for the comments chaps!
Bob - got the wheels/tyres as a package from Craddocks. They only listed the black modulars in the packages on their website so I got in touch with them and they said no problem, same package for the +8 silvers. I got the package for x4 plus a 10% off the single price for the 5th wheel and 5th tyre. Came in at about 830, delivered. Not sure when we are going to test-fit the winch bumper - busy for the next couple of weekends, might wait until the roof tent arrives as then we'll be adding extra weight front and rear at the same time.... |

Just realised Big Black is three years old today!!!
Always thought I'd take it on a massive adventure on it's third birthday, but what with totally forgetting (only realised when I noticed the tax disc ) it's not happened, but it's having a weekend away in the Lakes coincidentally, and it's had a few puddles to splash through. And on Monday it's getting a new gear lever assembly. Goodbye rattly knob! ..... so to speak. |

Nothing, they're replacing it under warranty, even though technically it expires today. It went in on Thursday for a few little things, but had to order the bits in, but Monday is the earliest they can fit them.
