110 doublecab swing away carrier purchase
ive just purchased 2012 doublecab and intend to fit a swing away wheel carrier and wanted advise on which one to purchase help and advise apreciated thanks

Mine is the 'sonic' carrier.

PM sonic3d (Matt) on this forum,he designed them, not sure if he is still producing them. Fits on the rear crossmember and is a really heavy duty bit of kit.

Defender wheel carrier for pre and post 2002 rear tailgates are availabl. These come as powder coated as standard. They can be galvanised prior to powde coating. Can also be fitted with a high lift jack mount as well. Prices start at £174

I have the mantec on my 90 and cant fault it, i have seen them on a double cab, but i beleive the tailgate hinge needs to be swapped for a swing to open like on a hard top or station wagon not the std drop down which is standard on pickups 2004 TD5 Defender 90 xs station wagon
