Low Beam out
Hi guys i need your help. Im having problem w my steering column multi function switch assembly. While driving at night and when I hit a road bumps my LOW BEAM LIGHT GOES OFF. I just need to pull it a little bit maybe 1 mm and it lights up again. i need to hold it until I reach home. Sad

I tried to look for a replacement with part No. XPB 101290(models 2000 and up) but it only have a light assembly that have signals left and right, horn, high and low beam w flasher.

But, what I have inside of my column assembly are with the wipers control, the switch for off, parking light and headlight. then the horn, signals and high and low beams w flasher.

Am I buying the right replacement part?

Thank you in advance.

Sounds like a loose connection to me have you checked all the wires and connections? Failing that I would imagine this is the part you want:

Most likely it's the usual problem, ie the contacts in the dipswitch have overheated, softening the plastic of the switch and becoming loose or misaligned as a result. Replace the switch, item 7 in the picture. Either switch 7 or 8 can melt, but 7 melting seems more common.

8 being sidelights and dipped lights control and 7 being main beam and also for some aux trigger too. Aswell as all the other obvious functions.
