I use a toothpick to apply the paint as I find it a lot more accurate than those brushes they supply in the lid. Once dry, i then buff the resultant blob flat with 'Langka': http://www.langka.com/the-blob-eliminator-p-31.html
With a bit of practice, you can get an invisible repair ![]() Pete |

![]() I'll try at the weekend...I'll let you know how it went! I'm going to get some thin brushes too... I have some huge (and some are deep) scratches along the side panels of my 110...start at the front and end at the rear! ![]() Joao '10 Land Rover Defender 110 CC '08 BMW F800GS '64 SIIA Forward Control '69 SIIA 109 ZA CKD _____________________________________________ You have the right to remain silent. If you put too much paint in then once dry you can shave the excess off with a 'de nibber/razor'

If you have "huge, deep scratches" depending on how bad/wide they are you may have to etch prime first!

They're huge, because they're long...and deep, but very thin...I dont think that will be necessary to etch prime...I hope!

As long as it's only down to the vehicle primer I think you'll be okay. Down to bare metal though that's different. |

Should be ok then ![]() Ah gone are the days when you could just rub them out with T Cut paint was so thick. SAAB paint used to be as thick as the LR metal is - seriously, 20 coats of it. |

How much did the paint alone weigh then? ![]() ![]() |

A doubter
![]() ![]() ![]() SAAB's 96's,99's were not light, they were a lot heavier than an Escort, Beetle, etc you couldn't push the roof in for instance, I think it was the Japs that brought in tinny motors, they certainly had the reputation for it ![]() |

Zag, If you think the Defender paint is thin you should try a Navara's couple of years ago scratched it by opening door against a hedge. Parked of course and not buckthorn just a regular hedge.

Crap quality as these days as well, bird poo left on the roof the night before can be found on the floor the next morning whilst adding two holes to your motor
