Nav subscription still valid in incontrol but expired in car
My connected navigation subscription is still valid in incontrol Web/App (until 09/2026) but in the Car, it shows expired. The dealer is of no help, tells me to buy Map update for 180EUR/year.
Also he tells me the error message I they can not clear permanently in the car, which is deeply annoying.

Anyone had similar issues?

Thanks!

Not had the error message in Wife’s DS but her Navigation Pro subscription was effected by the cyber attack and so JLR are just rolling over the subscription.

It’s now saying that it expires on the 4th November, but when you click on the link you just get the message to say that the site is under maintenance.

Speaking to the LR Assist people in September the actual issue is that they cannot take payment and so are giving it for free until they can take payment.

Assuming of cause this is what your issue is. Have you spoken to LR Assist? They tend to be more useful than the dealers on the IT side.

Good luck

Thank you, what is LR Assist? I fear we dont have something like this in Switzerland except the "Assistance" Number if your car breaks down to call.
Is there some directory to find a contact number to LR direct without going through the importer?

Thanks

Hi

In the UK it’s the same as ‘Assistance’ under your account on the App.

Or under Assistance click on Contact Us and call the number, in the UK this is 0370 500 500. Recently the Live Chat was not working, again because of the cyber attack.

Just make sure that you have the VIN number, again in the App / Your Account / My Vehicles.

Regards

I got now hold of LR in the Chat on the incontrol support page.

They told me the wrong date in incontrol is an error and they figure it out. Here an excerpt from the chat:

I can confirm the expiry dates for Connected Navigation
do not mirror correctly onto the app and the date in your
vehicle would be correct expiry date

Ok can you tell me why?

It is an issue on our side and we are working to fix this

So will there be a way to disable the Expiry Error messag? Or does it go away by itself after some time? Currently
it pops up every day

the expiry notification will show, I do not think there is a
way to disable it

You So forever in case I dont choose to renew the Maps
Subscription?

Or do you fix this with a Software Update?

there may be an option to choose not to show the
message again, a software update will not remove the
alert

I have the same problem with Emil Frey, I‘ll try to reach out to LR directly because my car has 4 years free service and warranty extended, therefore I‘d like to use the connected navigation also..

Mine tells me every single day that my subscriptions have expired via a Pivi Pro ‘notification’. I just ignore it I don’t ever log into Pivi or anything anyway so it makes no difference.

All I’ve lost is the live traffic, which Google maps or Waze do for free anyway.
