Heater blower voltage drop

Hey all,

When the fan is on "2" or full, my voltmeter takes a serious dive into the low 12s from high 13/low 14v

Is this normal?

I just had to replace the battery so I'm suddenly very observant of those fun little numbers flickering from my cigar lighter meter.

There's also zero, and I mean zero heat, but I need to replace the bonnet cable so I can get into the heater box to take a look. Waiting for part. 1999 Defender 90 S/W

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green

Not sure about the Td5 but the Puma's blower takes about 8 amps on 2 and 13 on full. This could indeed cause a significant voltage drop. Without the engine running that is.

Heat or not is not related to the blower circuit.

Thanks, this is with the engine running. TD5 10p version.

I understand the heat is a totally different problem. 1999 Defender 90 S/W
